Pet Lifeline Chicago, Inc. ("Pet Lifeline," "we," "us," or "our") operates the website located at www.petlifelinechicago.org (the "Site"). These Website Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Site, including browsing our pages, requesting pet transportation services, making a donation, registering for events, volunteering, and submitting information through our forms.
About Pet Lifeline
routine transport, and veterinary appointment transport, to pet owners in Chicago, DuPage County, Northwest Indiana, and surrounding areas. The Site allows visitors to learn about our services, request transportation through our online booking calendar, make donations, view organizational activities and events, and complete forms relating to our services.
Nothing on the Site constitutes veterinary, medical, or legal advice. Decisions regarding an animal's health, care, or treatment remain the responsibility of the pet owner and should be made in consultation with a licensed veterinarian.
Eligibility
Use of the Site is directed primarily toward adults and pet owners. If you are a minor, you may use the Site only with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian, where required by applicable law. By requesting a service or submitting information on behalf of an animal, you represent that you are the animal's owner or are otherwise authorized to make transportation and care-related decisions for that animal.
Accuracy of Information
You are responsible for providing accurate, current, and complete information when requesting services, making a donation, volunteering, or completing any form on the Site, including any transportation, authorization, or consent documentation Pet Lifeline may require. Pet Lifeline may decline, delay, or cancel a request where information provided is incomplete, inaccurate, or where doing so is reasonably necessary for safety or operational reasons.
Services, Fees, and Availability
Any service information, fees, or availability described on the Site are subject to change without notice. Submitting a request through the Site does not guarantee that a service will be available or confirmed. Pet Lifeline reserves the right, in its discretion, to decline, reschedule, or cancel a request, including where required for safety, incomplete documentation, or circumstances beyond Pet Lifeline's reasonable control.
Donations
Donations made through the Site are processed by third-party payment providers. Pet Lifeline generally does not request or store complete payment-card numbers when payment processing is performed by a third-party provider. Donations are voluntary and, except as required by law or otherwise stated at the time of donation, are non-refundable. Your donation transaction may also be subject to the applicable payment provider's own terms and privacy practices.
Acceptable Use
When using the Site, you agree that you will not:
use the Site for any unlawful purpose or in a manner that violates these Terms;
• submit false, fraudulent, or misleading information in connection with any request, donation, or form;
• attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Site, its booking or scheduling systems, or any related accounts or data;
• use a robot, spider, scraper, or other automated means to access or extract content from the Site without Pet Lifeline's prior written permission;
• interfere with or disrupt the operation of the Site or the networks or systems supporting it;
• transmit viruses, malicious code, or other harmful material through the Site; or
• harass, abuse, or threaten Pet Lifeline's staff, volunteers, or other users of the Site.
Pet Lifeline reserves the right to suspend or restrict access to the Site or its services where it reasonably believes these Terms have been violated.
Intellectual Property
The Site and its content, including text, graphics, logos, images, and overall design, are owned by or licensed to Pet Lifeline and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may view and print pages of the Site for your own personal, non-commercial use. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, publicly display, or create derivative works from Site content without Pet Lifeline's prior written permission.
Third-Party Services
The Site may reference, link to, or rely on third-party providers for website hosting, forms, email, payment processing, donations, analytics, scheduling, and other operational services, as well as links to third-party social media platforms. Those providers process information and operate according to their own terms and privacy policies. Pet Lifeline does not control and is not responsible for the content, availability, or practices of any third-party website or service.
Disclaimers
The Site and Pet Lifeline's services are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. Pet Lifeline does not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components, or that any scheduling or booking information will always be available or accurate.

Transporting animals inherently involves risk. Use of Pet Lifeline's transportation services is subject to any liability waiver, authorization, or consent documentation that Pet Lifeline requires prior to service.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Pet Lifeline, along with its officers, directors, employees, and volunteers, will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, use, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the Site or Pet Lifeline's services, even where Pet Lifeline has been advised of the possibility of such damages. Nothing in these Terms is intended to limit any liability that cannot be limited or excluded under applicable law.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Pet Lifeline and its officers, directors, employees, and volunteers from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising out of or in any way connected with your use of the Site, your violation of these Terms, or the information you submit through the Site.
